Upcoming release1.0-beta
New version with major differences to the previous version is up and coming, hopefully next week (with a trailer!)
There are major changes to how the game plays and how it looks and sounds like, although the core gameplay stays the same: Attempting to fill the codebook with codes. However, there’s no longer need to play a remembering mini-game (you simply need to manage to take calls in time and listen to them and the codebook fills automatically), and mouse controls are no longer in use; whole game should work with keyboard from now on. The codebook puzzle controls are improved otherwise majorly in-line with keyboard-only functionality.
Another major change is the style change from using low-poly elements with “newer” features like normal mapping, dynamic shadows etc. to not using shadows at all, opting for vertex lighting etc. The musical soundscape changes also to be something much more reminiscent of old-school Soundblaster FM synthesis games, like Alone in The Dark. Writing style will also be changed a bit, although I want to keep the mystery and at least a minimal bizarre factor in it.
