A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux

A nice cruise back from Rostock.
The weather is nice. Feeling sleepy, you decide to head to your room for a nap and wake up in unfamiliar surroundings after a particularly offputting dream. it looks like the ship you were on, but something is off...

Endless hallways.
Mindless men.
Cursed cargo.
Beings from beyond time and space.
You (mostly) alone against forces that you can't really understand.
Can you make your escape from the Armu Roos?

Find out in

A CRUISE NOWHERE

(Yeah, it's also a bit over the top, but that is how things should be)

Features:

  • First-person survival horror adventure gameplay inspired by old-school classics like Resident Evil, Realms Of The Haunting and Clive Barker's Undying!
  • Fight or flee! Use those legs of yours, running is always an option, or use your trusty guns to put the hurt where it's most needed!
  • Inventory Management! Drop useless items in favour of hopefully useful items, shoot carefully to conserve your ammo and you may live to tell the tale!
  • Puzzles to keep that flesh PC of yours vigorous and provide sanity boosts!
  • Darkness and endless hallways aboard a classical passenger cruiser! Remember to use your flashlight!
  • Cosmic horror and beings from beyond are unleashed in this thrilling tale of existential dread! Also there are nazis and sorcerers and more peculiar things aboard this cosmic tangle of a tale.

Known issues
- Various minimal UI issues (text in reader is wonky and floats to the left for example, inventory is sometimes oversized)
- Safe Puzzle may some times bug - just cancel out and try again and it should work
- When completing the demo, the mouse is not visible after returning to menu, just alt-f4 to quit then

If you encounter any new issues please comment here! Would appreciate that a lot.

this is one of the better horror games ive played on itch , got scared a bunch . i had fun playing it for sure lol

Thanks a lot for playing and thank you for making a video!

Mindly frustrating, but beside for me felling through the floor after going through a door. It was a good experience. Just a save as jake mention would be nice.

Very cool! Thank you for the video and comments. I intend to make a patch for the demo latest beginning of next week to rectify most glaring issues - in addition to developing content for the full release.

(1 edit)

Pretty okay, like the graphical style/music/enemies. Noticed some bugs/issues though:

BUGS

- For some reason I had a second "Wet paper note" in my inventory after dying and restarting

- Mouse cursor appeared after pressing ESC to see the menu and stayed on screen after closing the menu, after this happens you can't turn the camera properly (Workaround: open the inventory and close it and the cursor disappears for a quick fix)

- Some words in texts have an underscore after them, for example the "Old Note" has "but it's actually somehow_changing reality around us"

- Enemies get stuck on chairs sometimes

ISSUES

- The game tells you to press E to interact with objects in the "tutorial" dream even though you've already had to have pressed E to open the door at the beginning (maybe move the message to the first door and remind people about E at the second door)

- After escaping from enemies by entering a room the player might be doomed if the enemies are right behind the door and players don't have a lot HP left as they swarm the player right after going back into the same room with the enemies (maybe put enemies on a small cooldown timer so they can't move when leaving a room so they can't instagib a player, give the player invulnerability for 0,5 seconds after exiting a room or return enemies to their original starting positions after a while for example)

-Maybe buff the snacks a little, they give very little HP compared to medkits

- It's annoying to play the "tutorial" over and over again after dying (a skip button that appears in the bedroom after completing this section at least once would be nice)

- The pistol needs a reload sound, weird to hear nothing

WISHES

- More music, a bit repetitive to hear one song all the time

- More props on the map, maybe mats or different kinds of seats etc.

- Save function, maybe something like typewriters from Resident Evil that fits the game's setting

Okay, thanks a lot for the comment!
